Play; using one's senses (site, touch, and sound) to interact with an object while experiencing the changes in light and shadow, proportion and rhythm, depth of field, etc.
The objective for Naef toys is to produce play objects that unify quality design and superior swiss craftsmanship. This has been their focus for more than 50 years and will remain their goal well into the future. Naef demands extreme precision and quality in the manufacturing of their Swiss Made objects. Each product is inspected by hand before being packaged and shipped to customers all over the world.
Naef quailty products begin by specifically selecting woods that will not shrink or warp and will remain durable over time. All of Naef's painted products are made using non-toxic varnishes or clear coats.
The beginning of a unique play culture... This building brick is one of the first designs by company founder Kurt Naef (1957) and is part of what Naef Play Objects Ltd. is based upon. The sixteen building bricks, each with eight angled teeth, can be wedged together to form staggered constructions such as bridges and towers, which can be built even wider at the top than at the base. As very sophisticated constructions with the Naef brick are possible, a child’s creativity is constantly stimulated.
Naef Spiel Limited Edition includes: Maple, Birch, Ash, Chestnut, Beech, Elm, American Walnut and Acacia woods.
